I am beginning to feel like a broken record.
No matter what I do, the days are blending together, and I feel like I am not taking care of myself.
This is definitely not a typical work at home situation.
I have also been on the depression roller-coaster this week, so I am going to focus today on all the good things that I have in my life. Hopefully, this will help me gain perspective.
I learned this little trick from my coach a couple of years ago. List everything that you appreciate in your life. I find that the list can get pretty long. Today, I am going to focus on the things I feel like I have been blessed with.
I have been blessed with:
- A home that I like to be in
- Appliances that are working so I can keep cooking and doing laundry, etc.
- A comfortable bed
- A job I can do from anywhere
- A paycheck twice a month so I don’t feel insecure about money
- A loving family
- Great Friends who listen and lift me up
- Good books to read
- Good TV to watch
- Hobbies that I enjoy and help me be creative
- Food to eat
- Clean water to drink
- Hot showers
For now, I will leave it at that. I am going to focus on these things this week and try to remember that I have a lot that makes me pretty well off in these crazy times.
I don’t know how the rest of you are feeling these days. But however you are feeling, I encourage you to try to focus on the good stuff and not the bad. Make your own list of things you appreciate and refer back to it whenever you are feeling down. It helps me, and I am guessing it would help you.
We still probably have weeks of this crazy world, so I hope you can find some peace and enjoyment this week.
🙂
